Indian state of Goa to benefit from Israeli technology in agriculture

is hopeful of setting up a centre of excellence in the Indian state of  to aid the state vis a vis technological issues related to agriculture, Israel's consul general in Mr. Davik Akov, said.

"We have about 20 centres of excellence of Israeli technology all over India. We hope to have one in Goa. We are starting to work on the prospects of that," Mr. Akov told IANS on the sidelines of the inauguration of an Israeli film festival here.

"We believe that Israeli technology can assist certain areas of interest to Goa, like agriculture and maybe once we look in-depth, we can start looking at other areas of co-operation. We are looking forward to other areas of co-operation between Israel and Goa," he said.
