Indian farm professionals to be trained in Israel next week

MASHAV and the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADO) organize a 10-day training program on managing fruits nursery for Indian agriculture professionals.

A 10-day training programme on managing fruits nursery for Indian agriculture field professional is being organised in Israel from next week. 

The programme to begin from September 8 is organised by Israel's agency MASHAV and the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADO), an official statement said. 

About 14 professionals from Goa, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Odisha, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan will participate in it. 

These participants will be trained in all aspects of fruit nursery establishment and production. They will be taught about skills required for planning, implementation and monitoring of nurseries. 

The training is part of the Indo-Israeli Agriculture Cooperation Project, signed between the two countries in 2008. Within this framework, Israel shares best practices and knowhow, and provides professional training programs conducted both in Israel and India.
