The India-Israel Forum, founded by Tel Aviv University, Israel, seven years ago was making remarkable progress in promoting links between the two countries in the business and academic spheres and also in the area of post-graduate education, Prof Joseph Klafter, President of the University said today.

In his graduation address to the students of Kumaraguru College of Technology, Klafter said that he believed that aspiring entrepreneurs should view themselves as part of a global innovation chain.
To put this more concretely, if innovation was to have maximum impact, entrepreneurs and businesses must forge strong links to other participants in the innovation chain, he suggested.

He said he saw vast potential in what Israel and India can do for one another in fields of mutual interest such as transportation, energy, plant sciences, cyber, water, clean tech, communications, and more.

The University offers outstanding executive training programs in English in innovation, entrepreneurship and high-tech management, as well as 12 international master degree programs, he said, adding, one Indian graduate of Diplomacy and Security Master's Program, came home and established a cyber-security company.

Another student, a lawyer who completed the Master's in Conflict Resolution, was introducing legal mediation in her home province, he said.
