26/08/2015
The event provides technology start-ups an opportunity to compete and take part in a five-day start-up experience in Tel Aviv

Start Tel Aviv, a global competition held by The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tel Aviv Global that brings together technology start-ups from 21 different countries, is to organise the Start Tel Aviv-India Finals on August 28, at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

The event provides technology start-ups an opportunity to compete and take part in a five-day start-up experience in Tel Aviv. The Delhi event, its third consecutive year in India, will choose an Indian participant for the Start Tel Aviv event in Israel.

The Embassy of Israel in partnership with TIE Delhi-NCR is to organise the Start Tel Aviv-India finals. This year’s event has received more than 100 entries from all over India. Some 35 entries were received in 2013, and over 70 were received in 2014.

The final six start-ups that have made it to the Indian finals include 6zene Technologies that integrates cars with technology to make them work better. The company keeps an eye on how the car is performing, and will alert the customer if there is a problem with the car, or if car is not in the best condition.

Xlpat TT Consultants, another Indian start-up, has a platform that hosts a bunch of applications that automates big data searches and analysis. The company provides high-end technical consulting services to help leading corporations and law firms invalidate patents and improve litigation outcomes.

Bangalore-based Vidgyor Media Technologies, also among the Indian start-ups, provides a video-ad platform for Internet TV, one that auto detects original broadcast TV ads and replaces them with personalised video ads.

Also among the list are AudioCompass, a start-up that helps consumers explore different tourists spots by turning their phone into a personal audio tour guide.

The winner among the six Indian start-ups is to get an opportunity to win an all expenses paid, five-day start-up experience at the DLD Festival, Israel's international hi-tech gathering.

Every year, competitions are held simultaneously in 21 different countries and prizes are awarded to the winning start-ups from around the world. One winner is selected from each competing country.
