ADAMA India, the Indian subsidiary of Israel-headquartered crop-protection solutions company ADAMA Agricultural Solutions, announced the inauguration of its new formulation lab in India.

ADAMA India's current 10000 sq ft Research and Development facility here currently houses synthetic labs, analytical labs and scale-up laboratory. The new formulation lab, the Group's first outside Israel, becomes the fourth lab in its R&D portfolio.

"This new lab would now complete the end-to-end R&D cycle in India and will support both global market needs we well as domestic needs. It will also accelerate the process time of formulation as well as introduction of newer crop protection solutions for farmers. With this, ADAMA India intends to develop performance-optimised differentiated solutions for farmers, which are cost effective and environmentally safe to use," Levanon added.

The lab is equipped with the latest technological instruments which will support both liquid and solid formulations, the company said, adding that it has plans to launch several products tailor made for Indian and global markets during 2016-2020.
