Key seminar on Innovation for the New Indian Consumer to be held on October 27

The India-Israel Forum, in collaboration with the Pears Program for Global Innovation, has planned a seminar on “Innovating for the New Indian Consumer: How to Succeed in Low Income Markets” on October 27, 2015.

This is part of the program of the visiting delegates from India on the ongoing interactions relating to the India-Israel Forum.

The event will take place at Tel Aviv University, Gilman Building, Hall 133 and will be moderated by Dr. Giora Yaron, Chairman fo the Executive Committee, Tel Aviv University and Chairman of Itamar Medical.

The seminar will feature addresses by Dr. Arunabha Ghosh, CEO, Council on Energy, Environment & Water (CEEW); Mr. Jamshyd Godrej, Chaiman of the Board, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd. and  Mr. Vivek Rai Gupta, Office of the Chairman, Reliance Industries.

The Indian panel will speak about engaging Base of the Pyramid/ low income consumers in India and the Indian business leaders will address issues concerning  the new Indian consumer, what are his needs, how to cater to the masses and what is corporate India looking for in Israeli innovation? 

The seminar will also showcase four Israeli Case Studies in 4 different sectors. These will include: Mobile ODT  - Decreasing preventable deaths from cervical cancer through improved screening and patient tracking using mobile phones; SNAPP - Platform for building complex apps and mobile websites without accesses to a computer, from your smartphone or mobile device in minutes and with no technical knowledge: Agctlyst - A"self-destruction" mechanism for use in persistent pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides and Aquanos - Waste water treatment technology and process, which produces high quality effluent while utilizing a fraction of the energy required by conventional waste-water treatment.
