Israel for centre of excellence in Andhra Pradesh

Participating in an interactive meet on India-Israel business with focus on Vizag and Andhra Pradesh organised by the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The government of Israel is planning to set up a centre of excellence (CoE) in Andhra Pradesh as part of its plans to establish around 30 CoEs in India, said Avi Friedman, consul general for trade and economic affairs in the Consulate of Israel in India.

Participating in an interactive meet on India-Israel business with focus on Vizag and Andhra Pradesh organised by the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Friedman said that such centres of excellence will demonstrate the technological innovations made in Israel which can be utilised here by sectors such as agriculture among others.

Speaking about the free trade agreement between the two countries, he said it is expected to be signed next year as negotiations have been underway for the last couple of years.
