Israel will launch a project of micro-irrigation at 14 places in the state of Haryana this year to provide adequate water to every field.

Agriculture Minister Om Prakash Dhankar said: “The project will prove to be boon for the agriculture sector. Our government is committed to ensure that water reaches the tail-end of canals so that farmers do not face any trouble.

“At present, farmers make arrangements for irrigating their fields, but it is the responsibility of the state to ensure water supply to every field. The micro-irrigation scheme has changed the fate of agriculture in Israel, hence it will be launched in Haryana as well,” he said.
