T-Hub, Israel to partner in startup space

T-Hub, a startup incubator promoted by the Telangana government, announced that it has inked a pact with Tel Aviv University (TAU) Entrepreneurship Centre

HYDERABAD: T-Hub, a startup incubator promoted by the Telangana government, announced that it has inked a pact with Tel Aviv University (TAU) Entrepreneurship Centre - StarTau to boost the startup ecosystem in India.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the TAU Innovation Conference, where T-Hub CEO Jay Krishnan represented the Indian startup ecosystem.

With this partnership, an accelerator program will be launched in India and Israel and it will be a part of T-Hub's T-Challenge program charter, which will focus on agri-tech, T-Hub said. The program will start in October, 2016. This apart, T-Hub has also initiated health-tech programs by partnering with Tel Aviv University.

T-Hub pointed out that it will also be engaging with Matimop, the Israeli industry centre for R&D, to develop an innovation discovery and market exploration framework for the state of Telangana.

Commenting on the partnership, T-Hub CEO Jay Krishnan said, "We are excited about this partnership and are looking forward to seeing Indian and Israeli entrepreneurs push the innovation envelope and co-create new market opportunities while transforming India's landscape."
