MATIMOP announces two important initiatives between Indian and Israeli industry

MATIMOP – The Israeli Industry Center for R&D has announced two new Calls for Proposals for funding for joint Indian-Israeli R&D projects. Under these calls, Israeli and Indian companies can receive partner matching assistance and financial support for collaborative industrial R&D projects in all technology fields. The calls are being launched under the framework of the newly established Karnataka-Israel Industrial R&D Program (KIRD) and the India-Israel Initiative for Industrial R&D (i4RD), implemented in Israel by MATIMOP-The Israeli Industry Center for R&D, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist.

 

1st Call for Proposals - Karnataka-Israel Industrial R&D Program (KIRD)

Under the 1st Call for Proposals of the new Karnataka-Israel Industrial R&D Program (KIRD), Israeli companies and Karnataka-based companies are invited to submit joint proposals for funding for industrial R&D projects in all technology fields. KIRD is a pioneering program – the first on the state-level in India – and is based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2013 between MATIMOP, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) in Israel; and the Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS) and the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), autonomous organizations under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, in India. This bilateral framework is jointly implemented and promoted by KSTePS & KSCST, in India; and MATIMOP in Israel.

 

June 2013 Request for Proposals -  India-Israel Initiative for Industrial R&D (i4RD)

Under the June 2013 Request for Proposals of the India-Israel Initiative for Industrial R&D (i4RD), Israeli companies and companies located anywhere in India are invited submit joint proposals for funding for industrial R&D in all technology fields. I4RD is a federal level program based on the bilateral agreement signed in May 2005 between the Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the Ministry of Economy (formerly known as the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor) of the State of Israel. The bilateral framework is jointly implemented by the Global Innovation and Technology Alliance (GITA) in India and MATIMOP, the Israeli Industry Centre for R&D, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) in Israel.
