New Tourism Consul from Israel
02/07/2013

Mr. Hassan Madah has been appointed the new Tourism Consul for the Israel Government Tourist Office in India, effective April 1 2013, taking over from Mr. Albert Benabou, who left after serving as Director for the past year. For the first time the tourism ministry of Israel will open an office in India.

Mr. Madah was born in Peqiin, a breath taking Druze village in the Upper Galilee in North Israel. He majored in International Relations, Political Science and Public Administration at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and earned his Bachelor's degree in 2007. Currently, he is finishing his MBA at Israel Open University. He has been a part of the Israel Ministry of Tourism since 2008, working in the Ministry's Jerusalem office and overseeing marketing programs for tourism to Israel from South and North America.

"I am looking forward to working with the Indian tourism industry and in furthering the accomplishments under Albert Benabou’s leadership. Israel is a unique tourism destination, with something to offer for everyone - from religious pilgrims to cultural events; from adventure seekers to beach lovers; and everything in-between. Interest in visiting Israel is higher than ever before, as more and more travelers realize that Israel is affordable, accessible and safe", said Mr. Madah.
