Confronted with "challenging neighbourhoods," India and Israel are intensifying cooperation on Homeland Security and counter-terrorism and are involved in various projects to ensure 'zero tolerance' against the scourge.

Israel's Ambassador to India, Alon Ushpiz, said in an interaction with United News of India (UNI) journalists that both countries have a "very challenging security environment" and the Homeland Security Department of Israel was in touch with India's Home Ministry on security issues.

The two have also signed some agreements, he said, but did not elaborate.

"We have signed some agreements with the Ministry of Home Affairs. We find there is great future for us" in cooperation on security matters, he said while emphasising on long-term security interests.
