India to offer scholarships to Israeli students pursuing traditional Indian medicine studies

The Government of India is offering scholarships under the AYUSH Scholarship to the meritorious nationals of Israel to pursue undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga and Homeopathy. Students wishing to pursue courses in Traditional System of Medicine in India are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations will administer this scholarship.

 

Candidates who wish to be shortlisted for this scholarship will have to submit an application, accompanied by necessary supporting documents to the Embassy of India in Tel Aviv by July 5, 2014.

 

In addition to this, the selection criteria mentions that the candidate should have the eligibility to apply for this course, he or she must be proficient in the English language and he or she should not have any serious health problems.

 

The selection committee will also give higher priority to students who have never studied in India before.

 

Candidates are also advised to consult the Handbook of Indian Universities to ensure the availability of their choice of a course in India. The application forms should include the required number of copies of educational certificates along with three copies of passport-size photographs. In some cases, a no objection certificate from the candidate's employer or place of work is also required.
