Israeli education experts conduct workshop in India to encourage innovation in education
The two-day workshop for teachers talked about incorporating & nurturing creativity, innovation, collaboration, project-based and constructive learning amongst children

Consulate General of Israel, Mumbai along with the Department of School Education and Sports, Government of Maharashtra and Observer Research Foundation, Mumbai organized a two days workshop on Education for Innovation and Innovation in Education in June this year at Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. 

Three education experts from Israel, Dr. Shahaf Gal, Mr. Dov Kipperman, Mr. Ojas Waldman and Mr. Hemant Lagvankar, conducted the workshop for 200 schoolteachers, teacher trainers and educators from various districts in Maharashtra. 

The theme of the workshop was how to nurture creativity, innovation, collaboration, project-based and constructive learning in children. 

The School Education Minister of the state of Maharashtra, Mr. Rajendra Darda inaugurated the workshop in the presence of Mrs. Ashwini Bhide, Secretary, School Education & Sports, Government of Maharashtra and other senior officials.  

Before conducting the workshop, the three Israeli experts visited a few city and village schools in Maharashtra and participated in a half-day seminar on What Maharashtra Can Learn from Israel in Thinking Out of the Box in Education at ORF Mumbai office.

The teachers from various government and government-aided schools thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and expressed their experiences in schools.
